At Kashmir Review (KR), we are always open for submissions. We accept: Essays, Short Stories, Poetry and Art Work. We do not accept submissions previously published in any form.
Non-Fiction Submissions:
Fiction Submissions:
We accept Short Stories based on diverse themes. The word count should not exceed 3000 words. (in rare cases we can go with much lengthier stories)
- We accept Essays, Opinion Articles and Book Reviews. Essays submitted to us should be in between 2000-4000 words.
- We accept Opinion Articles with a word length of 900-1500 words.
- If you are submitting Book Review, please make sure that the book is relevant to the audience, KR is catering. Word length for Book Reviews should not exceed 1000 words.
Fiction Submissions:
We accept Short Stories based on diverse themes. The word count should not exceed 3000 words. (in rare cases we can go with much lengthier stories)
Poetry Submissions:
KR accepts Poetry on diverse themes. Please submit 1-2 poems in a single submission. Multiple submissions will not be entertained.
Art Work Submissions:
If you are submitting Art Work to KR, please submit 4-6 pieces of your work in a single submission. Please add a detailed note with your submission, describing your work. (JPEG format will be preferred, with the resolution of 360 DPI)
Format for Submissions:
Please send your submissions in docx. format. Make sure that the text is double spaced with Font Size 13.5, and Font Style Times New Roman. Write your name, address and contact number in the mail body.
Submission Key Words:
- For Fiction please write ‘Submission: Fiction’ in the subject line.
- For Non-Fiction please write ‘Submission: Non-Fiction’ in the subject line.
- For Poetry please write ‘Submission: Poetry’ in the subject line.
- For Art Work please write ‘Submission: Art Work’ in the subject line.

PS: Submissions received will be edited. Please be patient, if you do not hear from us immediately. Kashmir Review has a small editorial board with large work load. KR has a right to reject any submission without providing any reason. KR will reserve copyrights of the content published.
